Glendine was born in Namibia and matriculated in Windhoek. As a child she spent every moment in the art class. There, between all the paint and brushes she discovered her talent for art. In 1983 the Santam Children Art chose her work for a calendar and for an exhibition in Europe. After school she studied Fine Arts at the Pretoria Technikon and Unisa. In 1991 she was invited to show her work in New York. Glendine’s inspiration is from her childhood memories of landscapes created from human forms such as wires, farm houses, windmills and empty dams. She showed incredible growth in her art and her art is in great favor with art lovers. She took part in numerous group exhibitions and also held numerous successful solo exhibitions across the country. She also exhibited in New York and received very good reaction. Her work is greatly renowned in South Africa and overseas. Anton Brink is a South African painting and graphical artist. Brink was born in 1963 and is the son of author, Andre Brink. His work takes poetic forms which act as his weapons of expressions as an artist. Before becoming an artist, Brink studied at Wits University in Johannesburg, acquiring a PhD in Digital Image Processing. He left his day-job and became a full time artist in She obtained her professional training at the University of the Free State where she completed her Fine Art Degree, specializing in Graphic Art. She has participated in various South African, as well as international exhibitions. These include exhibitions in Belgium, the USA and Canada. A variety of works have also been sold to clients in Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland and England.Specializing in Portrait and Figure studies, she has worked from her studio at home for approximately fourteen years. Working in mixed media, pastels and etchings, she portrays her immediate surroundings and situations from everyday life.Her themes are mostly women in everyday experiences combined with animals.Her etchings have imaculate detail, and the vibrant use of color in her pastels is very unique to Anine’s style. Anine currently lives in Cape Town with her husband and two children. Anine believes that Art is about expressing one’s feelings and thoughts. The source of her inspiration is the known and familiar world around her. Her work has a dreamlike, naive quality, evoking feelings of reminiscence and promise.
